1. Andrew's Visits Photo Album Scrapbook
The first project was another Photo Album Scrapbook, this one to showcase photos of my great-nephew's visits here to our home from 2008 through 2010.
This album now sits on the dresser in the guest room along with the albums of Pun'kin's Visits, Paige & Laurie's Visits, and my 2001 Summer Trips.
I created two-page spreads for each of eight colors during the Color! Or is it Colour? workshop in the fall of 2010. (See my pages here, here, here & here.) I also printed out the color wheel & color combination sheets from the workshop. I then stuck all these items into a Project File to complete later. Last month, I finally put together the pages with the printouts, created a cover & used my Bind-It-All to complete this 6x6 album, which is now displayed near my craft table for easy reference.
3. DIY album
This 8x8 scrapbook is an ongoing project; I continue to add pages to it when Robbie & I complete a Do-It-Yourself project or craft. I decorated the cover of the album in the spring of last year, however when the album was opened there was just a blank page because I had not yet created a title page. I created a title page & another two-page layout to add to this album. (Even though I will continue to add to this album through the years, I now feel that the album is "complete" enough to display.) (See other pages in this album here, here, here, here, here & here.)
I created this journal before our cruise at the end of last year and used it to journal in during our trip. To complete this project, I added bits & pieces of memorabilia that I had picked up during the cruise as well as a few stickers & embellishments. I also added in a little journaling that I did not complete, plus finished coloring a few of the pictures in the journal. I enjoyed having this journal pre-made & will definitely create another one for our next vacation.
Have you finished up any of your projects lately? What are you working on for National Scrapbook Day?
Great projects Melissa! I'm still working on my niece's album and finished a tiny project for MAE

Looks great, Melissa! I need to finish my color mini album, too. Adding it to my list! (tyfb)
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I've been working on my Week in the Life album today. All the pictures are cropped, matted and in. Soon I'll move on to journaling and embellishments. Plus, I need to do the cover.

These are great mini albums. I haven't done anything crafty today, the weather is too nice but I do plan on buying some new digi supplies.
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy!
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa - I love seeing your projects. I especially like your colors album. Blue is my fav! They're all fantastic and kudos to you for getting them completed.
ReplyDeleteI finally finished up my Project Life 2011 Album this morning. I have a bit of journaling to do but at least the photos are dated and it feels sooo good to see an album done and people can actually pick it up and look through it!
Goodness you really have been creative, well done
ReplyDeleteI usually manage to finish my projects in the end but I do have a mini one sitting by my desk at the moment, now I must finish it!!
ReplyDeletePerfect day to work on these different projects. I love your theme mini albums. :) I missed out on NSD because I was unpacking. But I did a little online shopping and hope to make up for it when the box arrives. Hopefully most of the other boxes in this house will be gone!
