This week is double page layout week here at
Daily Life - Bits & Pieces, and each day I am sharing a two page layout inspired by a sketch from the
BPC Double Take workshop I took last fall. I pulled out the sketches and several batches of photos recently and created all new layouts inspired by the sketches.
Most of the time, I choose a double page layout because I have quite a few photos I want to use, however the sketch I used for today's layout only called for four photos (2 portrait & 2 landscape). I chose photos from a play that
Pun'kin Natashia performed in last fall. I included the program instead of a title and embellishment cluster on the left page.
Natashia did a fantastic job in her role as Mable, one of the (angel) children all set to perform the nativity story play on Christmas Eve to a group of stranded travelers.
I like the way this sketch offered plenty of room for me to include the program. Do you include this type of memorabilia on your layouts?
Love this! Thanks for posting so many double page spreads.

I like to include memorabilia when I can, I'm really enjoying these posts!
ReplyDeleteYes, I certainly try to. I've been collecting memorabilia like this since I went to my first school play aged six.
ReplyDeleteDouble page week is such a great idea
Oh yes! Love to add the memorabilia! Another great layout. I too find that I can work in the memorabilia easier when I have a 2-pager to work with. :) These are fun photos and I like how you split the journaling along the top and bottom that photo.
ReplyDeleteI love that the program provides the title :) I keep *everything*, always with the intention of using it on my pages, but I have to confess that a fair amount of it now comes into the category of 'clutter'...
ReplyDeleteGreat two-pager and yes, I love to include bits of real life too.
ReplyDeleteAwesome layout, I love memorabilia included. It always seems to be bring back a stronger connection to me.
ReplyDeleteI like the colours here and how the programme gives the title and the colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the quality of the memorabilia, I worry about it becoming clutter so tend to avoid picking it up unless it will go quickly onto a page. Or at least into the file!
I try to include memorabilia whenever I can. If it is too large, I scan it to my computer and reduce it in size with PS Elements. Love your layouts and the colors you used.
ReplyDeleteLove the program as the title. I just brought home the play bill and tickets for the show we saw last weekend. I don't have photos of the show, but I want to do a page for the weekend, and will try to include the tickets at the very least.
