I can hardly believe 2012 is almost over! I'm so glad I've captured a favorite photo each month in my
2012 Photos I Love 8x8 album. Not only have I preserved a favorite photo & memory, but the colorful borders are also reminders of the many layouts I've created this year. These square punched pieces are from papers I used in layouts for that month. Most months I've had enough squares to complete the border, however October and
August were slow scrapping months so I had to make adjustments. This month I simply spaced out the squares I had and let the white background show through in between.
Journaling reads: The God is Calling You curriculum that I wrote was a huge success, and for only the second time Mama was there to hear me teach that Friday evening.
Have you heard about the new blog series
Sian has been putting together over at
From High in the Sky?
So This Is Scrapbooking starts today and you can
find me there sharing the story of how I became a coach in
Stacy Julian's 2011
Finding Photo Freedom workshop at
Big Picture Classes.
Oh lovely page - I remember your prior post about that photo and why it is a favorite. And of course, I'll be hopping by Sian's to see what else you have to say.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post over on Sian's blog
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use your leftover papers.
ReplyDeleteLovely page!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your post - I loved finding out more about your coaching and I think everyone else will too :)We're off to a wonderful start! And thanks for the mention here - much appreciated
heading to Sian's blog now... love your picture & can't wait to enjoy your retreat wisdom in January!
ReplyDeletepopped across from Sian - a wonderful post it was lovely to read about you ad FPF....I'm intrigued!
ReplyDeleteI do love this idea of a photo you love combined with the papers you've used. Knew it wouldn't work for me - but perhaps I should have gone for lots of white space
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and colour combination :)
Great post over at Sian's! Reminded me of how much I love the Photo Freedom system. It is second nature to me now, and your coaching helped bring that about. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've been over for a read and popped back! Didn't realise you were a coach - wow, how enterprising and skillful. I started in 2010 but did not manage to get past the first week or so. But you've encouraged me to go back and download all the handouts and transcripts so there is hope for me yet!
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed by your post at From High In The Sky - and have been envious of the system you have in place. I'm equally impressed to see that one of my fave Scrappers (Sue) also uses photo freedom ... Maybe a project for me for next year?!
ReplyDeleteGreat post over at Sian's, Melissa!...I can imagine you would be a great coach!
