A few Saturdays ago I went to a crop with friends. I didn't have much time during the week to put together page kits or pull supplies, so I just grabbed the Storage Binder with photos from our 10th Anniversary Cruise and the Materials File with a few themed papers and embellishments and decided to just see what I could come up with during the day. Of course, I did throw in my washi tape and a few letter stickers at the last minute.
I ended up with three one-page layouts and a double page spread using the supplies I brought . . . plus a few papers and letter stickers and embellishments from my friends' stashes!
I'm including a little journaling on some of these layouts, however I don't feel that I have to re-tell every story from this cruise since I have everything recorded in the Moby Dick journal I created just for that purpose. I enjoyed working with these photos and remembering our trip, and I'm hoping to scrap more of them this month!
It's so satisfying to get vacation photos scrapped, and you're right about getting to relive those experiences through the process. Love the bright colors you chose.
ReplyDeleteNot bad at all for not having anything planned!
ReplyDeletenice work as always!
ReplyDeleteI like all the layouts from your cruise. The layout of the Other Ships seems to suggest the oceans are getting crowded with cruise ships!
ReplyDeleteYou do so well even when you pack up minimal supplies :) So sorry you didn't get daily animals, we loved going back to the room and finding them.
ReplyDeleteCute pages - you definitely met that challenge of not taking much!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! You were still very productive. I totally agree about not having to re-tell the stories when you already have it down elsewhere. I've been finding the same thing with some of my Europe layouts. Sometimes there are stories, other times I leave it off if it's redundant. As long as it gets documented somewhere, it's OK! :)
ReplyDeleteYou did good!

You are just finishing off things left and right, aren't you. Nicely scrapped. I've never taken a journal on vacation, but I think I need to start.
ReplyDeleteI love the towel animals.
