Starting Point (x2)

When my friend Michelle was visiting recently, I introduced her to Shimelle's Starting Points, and we created two identical backgrounds based on one of the older Starting Points.

I thumbed through my storage binders of photos and ended up with this layout.

Michelle took her background home and come up with this layout.

It's fun to see how one Starting Point can yield two different layouts! Shimelle hasn't posted many new Starting Points lately, however I think it's definitely worth it to scroll back through and find one to use (or re-use) if you're looking for a fun challenge.

  1. I always enjoy your layouts! I think the lime green letters work great with the pink and green of the papers. Your friend went in a different direction and it works too!

  2. I think starting points are great because you then you don't have a blank page staring at you. It makes it easier to finish a layout.

  5. Wow - they really do look different! I think it's the blue and dark maroon in the second one.

  7. Sounds like fun scrapping time! I love the fun green you added to your layout. And it's cool to see how you each went off in a different direction with the same start. :)

  10. It is amazing how two, or even more people can create something that's the same so differently! NICE layouts, both of them!

  11. I've never used one of the starting points so it's fun to see how you both started and then changed it to suit. I'm always a sucker for lime green letters :)
