I'm A Featured "Expert"

Remember those art journals pages I created several weeks ago as I was pondering which direction to take with various opportunities? Well, one of the opportunities that I was seeking God's direction for has become a reality!

It all started in early March when I attended Jennifer Rothschild's Fresh Grounded Faith Conference in Waxahachie, Texas. It was the beginning of spring break and I wanted to plan a little weekend away for me and Robbie. Being the sweetheart that he is, Robbie said he wouldn't mind if I spent most of the day Saturday at the conference. He dropped me off that morning, picked me up so we could share a yummy lunch together, then picked me up again at the end of the day. (Yes, he is the greatest!!) Because I attended the conference alone, I was able to really focus on what the Lord was saying to me through the speakers and worship time.

I have read a couple of Jennifer Rothschild's books and led one of her Bible Studies (Walking By Faith), so this one-day conference was a real treat for me.  I've followed her ministry for several years now, including receiving her free newsletter to womensministry.net, a wonderful resource for women in ministry. This site provides "practical tools, insightful resources and an inspirational community that empowers women's ministry leaders to initiate, nurture and sustain vibrant transformational ministries for women." I met Judy Patterson, Executive Editor of the site, at the conference . . . which leads to today's announcement.

I'm so excited to reveal that I am a featured "expert" on the womensministry.net website. I hope you'll pop over and check out my video on How To Use Your Blog As A Witnessing Tool and my article about Blogging Your Passion.

If you've just found my blog through womensministry.net - Welcome! Please take a look around and leave me a comment to say Hello. (Here are links to a few things I mentioned in the video - Sunday Musings, book reviews, scrapbooked testimonies here, here and here, and a look at our daily life here, here and here.)

  8. Congratulations Melissa! I'm so very excited and happy for you. It's strange (but yet it's not when you think about it)that I've had an idea for my site on altering a Rolodex and using each card for a scripture. And I think I just got the little nudge I needed! Both your video and post at WM were absolutely perfect!
