After dry blending my new Gelatos to create a background, I decided to try for a watercolor-look by blending them wet.
Did you notice the other new-to-me technique on this layout? Yep, machine stitching all the way around to create my very own unique background for this layout with lots of little bits & pieces added from my red and brown color bins.
Have you created your own background lately? What mediums did you use?
I do stitch round my pages, but I have never tried the gelato look - it's beautiful
ReplyDeleteSplitting the colours like this and using photos and elements diagonally is such a cool look! Well done on the stitching too ...
ReplyDeleteNever heard of gelatos, the effect is lovely.

ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! I picked up some gelato colors too but haven't used them yet. So little time for experimenting but maybe I need to get them on a tag at least. Soon! :)
