Hello bloggy friends! I'm excited to be back after my month-long blog break and have so much to share - scrapbook layouts, cards, scavenger hunt photos, book reviews, stories, travel photos, movie reviews, etc. Today I'll catch you up a little on what I've been up to the past month.
While Robbie grilled hamburgers and hot days to celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, my friend Michelle and I spent time working on our mini-albums - a travel journal for me and a 2013 books read album for Michelle.
I created the travel journal to use on our 9-day, 2000+ mile road trip to Tennessee in the middle of the month. We spent time in Memphis, Chattanooga, Sevierville, and Pigeon Forge.
In Pigeon Forge, we visited the Scrapbook Superstore and Clearance Center, where I picked up a few things to add to my stash.
Despite my insistence that this haul was sufficient for my birthday, Robbie had a nice pile of gifts for me to open on my birthday a few days after we returned home.
And I had my first ever Crafty Birthday Party. Robbie paid for me and Mama and my crafty friends to take a private class at our local scrapbook store - the store owners created a special sunflower layout just for my party! [Check out more fun photos from my crafty birthday party on Ellyn's blog!]
I hope you had a wonderful July! Did you get to travel? or scrapbook? or celebrate a birthday or holiday?
BTW - I switched to the Bloglovin' reader late in June and have been catching up on lots of blog reading this week. I've noticed that a few blogs didn't transfer over correctly, so if you haven't seen a comment from me recently please let me know so I can get you added back in!
Wow Melissa! You've been a busy girl. And look at all that fun scrap stuff.
ReplyDeletewelcome back my friend! I've missed your happy blog posts.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a fab birthday! I hope TN was good to you during your stay. That is quite the haul at the Scrapbook Supercenter. The one time I was over on that side of the state I wasn't able to stop. If I ever make it back there, I'll be stopping for sure! :)

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Robbie rocks the creative present idea. Looking forward to seeing what you create with all that new stash and inside that travel journal.
ReplyDeleteWe did 2000 miles around the US in three weeks, doing it in nine days is a lot of long driving days!
Nice to see you back and what a wonderful stash haul! Looks like you had a great birthday and a great trip too x
ReplyDeleteI thought of you during your break and kept waiting for you to pop up in my reader, I switched to Feedly and you didn't until today. So I have been working my ways backwards through your August post. Haven't seen anything from you on my blog. July was a hard month, Stephen's mom passed away unexpectedly on the third :) Glad you are back with us!
