I Wish This Had Been On The Scavenger Hunt

Are you participating in and enjoying Rinda's 2013 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt? I am!!

One of the things I most enjoy is how the hunt makes me more aware of my surroundings as I seek to find the items on the list. However, this can also cause a problem because I tend to notice things I wish had been on the list! For example, I wish longhorns had been on the list . . . because they were everywhere on our Abilene Road Trip!

Of course, since longhorns were not on the list, I guess I better get busy finding the last few items I need to complete this year's hunt. How are you doing? Would you have been able to easily find a longhorn?

  1. Hmm I wonder why you could find so many long horns? If we just had to find long horns yes I could have - stag beetles look like they have long horns and I could have gone to the Natural History museum for those rather than the dinosaur. But cattle long horns, hmm since the Texas Embassy closed that would have been harder :)

  2. Okay, I don't know where I'd find longhorns - maybe at the county fair? But I know what you mean, I wanted columns to the be on the list, and I see angels everywhere knowing they were on last years list. I just posted my second installments of photos, and looking to finish up the list this weekend. Good luck on your hunt, Melissa, and beware of the longhorns!

  3. I'm having a great time finding pirates - of course that was on the list two years ago! And in all that time, I still haven't seen a unicycle! But Longhorns around here? Not happening.

  4. What a brilliant montage, Melissa - and I wouldn't have had a hope. Not without a plane journey and emigrating!

  8. That would be genius! You and my cousin Irene (who lives in Houston) would love it. But you never know. . . I could just have "a horn" on the list.
