This first layout is a direct scraplift of one of May's examples. All the papers except the background and title and journal boxes are from a coordinating set of 6x6 papers. I also added a little spritzing and stamping to the top right and bottom left corners of the background paper.
Journaling reads: Robbie's always on the hunt for the newest collectible toy, but it was me who finally spotted the Batcopter on an end cap at Target!This next layout uses several different size papers (including 6x6) to create a frame and was inspired by May's challenge to use a sketch on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
I don't typically buy 6x6 paper pads, however I do often end up with similar sized papers in my scraps folders, so I'll definitely be using these two ideas again. Do you buy 6x6 papers? How do you use them most often?

I love both of these....I have lots of 6 x 6 pads for cardmaking....and need to incorporate them more into scrapbooking.
ReplyDeleteI do buy 6x6 papers - but then I do a lot of card making and mini albums where the smaller patterns are useful. When I incorporate them into larger projects they tend to be in similar ways to May's ideas. As mats, blocks, tags, used to create embellishments. I really like combining big and little versions of the same paper line.

ReplyDeleteThese are great (who wouldn't love a page about the batcopter?!) I do buy 6x6 pads because I love to use the smaller scale patterns with my Slice to make clusters of embellishments. Oh, and I use them for cards too

ReplyDeleteLove the colors and that fabulous background page on the anniversary layout! I buy more 6X6 pads than any other kind of patterned paper since I'm primarily a card maker and they are the perfect scale for cards. I have used them on scrapbook layouts as well.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous and especially the frame layers in the second layout. Love any ideas that help use the 6x6 papers on 12x12s. And you are right, I have lots of scraps in generally the same size...just need to dig them out and use them! :)
ReplyDeleteI really love these. I buy 6x6 to use in smaller albums but I really like that the pattern is true but smaller.
ReplyDeleteI really like that second page in particular - great colour and shape combinations. I am not a great paper buyer but prefer 6x6 because the smaller patterns suit my style of scrapping better.
