Joni & Ken: An Untold Love Story - book review

Typically when I'm ready to choose a new book from Booksneeze, I scroll through the selections to find something that sounds interesting. However, the last time I logged on, I immediately noticed a book that I already had on my to-read list! So, I downloaded Joni & Ken: An Untold Love Story to my Kindle (free in exchange for an honest review). I was already familiar with Joni Eareckson Tada's story about how she was injured in a diving accident as a teenager and became a quadriplegic. I've read about her and heard her speak at a ladies' conference several years ago, so I was intrigued when I read that she and her husband had written about a book about their life together.

This is a good book that shares Joni & Ken's love, their faith, and the struggles they've faced together dealing with life with/as a quadriplegic and Joni's more recent diagnosis and battle with cancer. As with any relationship, there were rocky times, but the faith they share in the Lord held them together and the story ends beautifully with the two of them sharing a wonderful and fulfilling life.

The book alternates between Joni and Ken's point of view, although much of the book is from Joni's perspective. The story is written somewhat chronologically, but the thread of time was a little hard to follow at times. I enjoyed the book and truly admire this couple for sharing their life - the good, the bad, and occasionally the ugly - in an uplifting way.
