Final Scavenger Hunt Photos

I did it! I found all 21 items on Rinda's 2013 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt, plus one bonus item. Today I'm sharing my last four finds. (See my previous finds here, here and here.)

#12 - A cloud in the shape of something
I've seen several things in the clouds this summer, unfortunately either I didn't have my camera ready at the time or I couldn't spot the item again when I looked at the photo at home! However, the other day as we were heading into a restaurant for lunch, I spotted this shrimp up in the sky. (Could be that I was hungry for some seafood at the time!)

#18 - Your local pub/bar, coffee house or tea shop
This item proved quite a challenge because we don't go to pubs or bars; we rarely ever go to a coffee house (because neither of us drink coffee); and there's not a tea shop nearby. However, there is a coffee shop on the main street leading to our neighborhood, and since we pass it often I decided to claim it as our coffee house. (That's my red Suburban there in the reflection as Robbie pulled alongside so I could snap a photo!)

#19 - A fisherman
After church yesterday, Robbie drove me by several docks and boat ramps at Lake Ray Hubbard in the search for a fisherman. But, alas, there were no fishermen to be found anywhere. But Robbie reminded me that we have a great fisherman photo among the numerous family photos hanging in our front hallway - his grandfather showing off a big catch. So, while this may be a little bit of a cheat, I'm offering this photo of a photo of a fisherman I never had the privilege to meet.

#21 - A photograph of you with an artistic tool or craft supply
Here's a photo of me with one of my birthday gifts from Robbie - art canvases in a variety of sizes. I've been wanting to try creating more art canvases and mixed media products, so watch for some completed projects to appear here on my blog soon!

I'm still on the lookout for a sundial (the second bonus item on Rinda's list), but for now I'm feeling great about finding all 21 items (plus one) on this year's list. I'm off now to check out what others have found because it's just way too hot to do much outdoors these days!

  10. The scavenger photo hunt is such a fun idea. Thanks for sharing the photos with us. I'm with you on the heat. Though the temps are not quite as hot in Orlando, factor in the humidity and we are well over 100 degrees too. I can't wait for our first fall cool front! :)
