Mixed Media Love

For my birthday this summer, Robbie gave me several small canvases in various sizes.

 
I had fun adding paint, patterned paper, cardstock, chipboard, flowers, a brad, and scrabble tiles to create this mixed media canvas that now hangs in our bedroom.


Have you created any mixed media canvases lately? What types of items did you include?

    Your canvas is very bright and pretty - I always love,those Scrabble tiles. I think the last time I did something on canvas was acrylics for a class with Junelle Jacobsen. I do enjoy the feel of paint and canvas. Are you going to do more with the other canvases?

    I like the pop of colour and the scrabble tiles - considering how much I play scrabble you'd think I'd use them in crafting...

    Not done a canvas in years. Perhaps the next house will have more space for such things.

    Sadly, my mixed media supplies have been neglected all summer. I'm hoping to get them back out (and caught up with my art journal) when we finally get home after several upcoming trips. Yours certainly adds a spot of sunshine to your bedroom!

    That is so full of sunshine - Lovely Melissa - You are tempting me to have a go with a canvas - never done very much Mixed Media - and my art teacher at school was so scathing about my drawing and painting I always thought I wasn't artistic at all. J x

    Yes, I'm planning to do a few more canvases as I'm inspired. I really enjoy the change & actually have a few ideas for Christmas gifts - we'll see if those pan out! :>)

    It does look lovely. I have still yet to try a mixed media canvas. I still don't think I am arty enough!

    I have never made a canvas before. It's definitely something I would like to try. Yours is so happy and bright! Love it!

    Oh, it's lovely! I love the yellow. I bought some canvases awhile ago but ended up packing them for the big move. I have no idea where they are now. When I finally have a house again, I'd like to make some again. :)
