Personally, I'm not good about taking photos of things - I just place the item somewhere there's decent light and snap away.
So, I'm excited to be signed up to participate in the Frugal Still Life Photographer journey. I'm looking forward to learning more about backgrounds, props, and setting up shots. Click here to check out all the details and sign up now so you don't miss out!
Do you tend to set up your still life photos . . . or, like me, simply snap a photo of the item?
That looks like a great course and I could really use some expertise :).
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an excellent course. I started to think more about backgrounds after I bought a book on photographing craft items. It's aimed at Etsy sellers and the like, but very useful
ReplyDeletefun! I can't wait to see what you learn. lately I've been making more effort. sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI signed up! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful post Melissa. I appreciate so very much your sharing this journey. I've already had a couple of your readers join in and I'm simply ecstatic! We're going to have so much fun and learn together!
ReplyDeleteI need any photographic help I can get loL! Off to go check out the course thanks so much for sharing about it xxx
ReplyDeleteSounds fun! Can't wait to see some examples!
ReplyDeleteI take the time only on occasion. Sometimes I spend that time just cropping the photo instead, although that doesn't always work.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like something I need! I just snap the photos, but Phil has taught me to pay more attention to the lighting and background. He's still much better at it than I am.
ReplyDeleteActually I'm very interested in still life photography, so I'm off to check it out. We're on the road again in January, but maybe it will work out.
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun to check out your recent posts this morning (before hitting "all read"). I really might try out the stitch it thing. If so, I'll definitely give you credit. It was fun to see the Taos staircases again, and congrats on the Design Team. Looking forward to being around more in the future.
