The thing I wanted to capture in this shot is the journaling! I've been encouraging Mama to add more journaling to her layouts, so I was excited that she added the story about this photo of her 8th grade graduation and signed her name like she did back in her school days. Here's the zoom out shot.
It's so much FUN to scrap with Mama! I especially enjoy when she scraps older photos and shares stories about them.

That is a perfect ZIZO shot!! I certainly see the resemblance between you and your mom!! Scrapbooking with her is a special time that you will always remember.
ReplyDeleteLove your ZIZO photos! Just precious!
ReplyDeletelooks a lovely day and I love that she included her school signature
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great time--spending time with your mom and, no doubt, hearing stories of her childhood. Great subject. She photographs well!
ReplyDeleteYeah for getting Mama to add journaling, I like the photo of her hands.
ReplyDeleteIt wonderful that you can share your love of scrapbooking together
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your blog header photo too!
How wonderful to be able to spend the day making memories with your mother. A great ZIZO
ReplyDeleteHey Melissa, it was great to hear from you on my blog comments. Man, I have been so remiss in getting around to blogs and so it was wonderful to reconnect with you a tad! What a cool challenge and how awesome to be scrapbooking with you mom! I'm enjoying some art journaling with my DD1 and I need to get busy on her school scrapbook b/c I only have three more years! Eep!
ReplyDeleteI adore that first photograph of your mother's hands. There's something very poignant about it. It makes me a bit teary, missing my own mother. I'm so glad you are blessed to still have your mom and that you spend time with her.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Rinda
I'll bet it is fun! I can remember the days when my Mum and I sewed together, but scrapbooking brings out more stories - even better
ReplyDeleteI love scrapping with my mother - she's the eldest member of our crop. I've just helped her order new photos now that her family weddings album is as complete - a great resource as it has so much historical research in it.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a ZIZO
