The temperatures are dropping here in Texas as we enter the final two months of my FUN year!
Despite an ear infection that required a few days of rest and a week of antibiotics and that fact that Robbie's working longer hours as the company he works for transitions to new ownership, there were quite a few FUN happenings around here in October. We took another quick road trip to Ohio and enjoyed time with Robbie's brother and his family at a local Corn Maze. Our oldest nephew even baked me a pecan pie from my Grandma's recipe while we were there! I believe it's the first time since Grandma passed away that anyone has made me a pecan pie . . . and it was delicious!
We enjoyed watching football games, putting together another collage puzzle, playing the Harry Potter Scene It? game, listening to one of the original Tuskegee Airmen share his stories one evening at our local library, and finding time to walk or sit out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful Texas fall weather. I was able to create cards on World Cardmaking Saturday and spent one weekend scraplifting layouts from some of my favorite bloggers. I also completed our 10th Anniversary Cruise albums and have done a good bit of reading along with the Laura Ingalls Wilder class at Canvas.net. We ended the month with a nice quiet Halloween evening at home, enjoying Jack-O-Lantern pizza and orange colored chocolate chip cookies while watching the first Harry Potter movie.
Here's a look at my FUN October photo collage. (Yes, that is me trying to jump on a pogo stick, running in a huge barrel/pipe, and racing my nephews in pedal cars - so much FUN!)
November is already off to a FUN start! We visited my parents and played Sharpshooters last Saturday, watched football games on Sunday, and I backed up the computers and processed photos on Monday, created cards at Crafty Tuesday, enjoyed the library book club meeting on Wednesday, and hosted a get-together here yesterday for my friend Becky who is home from the mission field in Kenya for the holidays.
After all the busyness of the week, I'll be spending lots of time in my craft room today - catching up on some blog reading, putting away recently created layouts (including the digital layouts that I had printed, which arrived in the mail this week), following along with Jennifer Grace's Frosty Festivities 2014 (which starts in less than two hours), and creating a few more Christmas cards!
My FUN plans for the rest of November include:
1. Watching the remaining Harry Potter movies.
2. A week-long road trip to Florida to celebrate Robbie's 50th birthday.
3. Spending a couple of days at Universal Studios and Harry Potter World.
4. Celebrating Thanksgiving Day.
5. Watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns football games.
6. Catching up and working through the new materials in the One Little Word class.
7. Getting caught up on my digital workflow - processing & printing photos!
Did you have a FUN October? What FUN things are you planning for November?
I love how many selfies or photos of you are collected each month. I have very few, if any, most months, and need to make it a priority next year! Looks like another FUN month and another one to come.
