As I was wandering around the Scrapbook Expo show floor with Susie (owner of Scrappin' Goodtime) last month, we stopped at the Authentique booth and checked out the new papers. I mentioned that I especially liked the Durable collection and was given a paper pad and journaling cards to create layouts for the store! I created two masculine layouts - one showcases photos from the 1950s, the other photos from 2013. (See these completed layouts on the Scrappin' Goodtime blog HERE.)
While this paper line has a decidedly masculine feel, I was also able to use the grays to create a "softer" feeling layout showcasing a photo of my parents when they were dating or just newly married.
I added a large doily as the base for my photo block, then cut the "love" title on my Cricut. The hearts were created using the Sizzix Hearts With Layering Die. (I had this piece leftover from my Valentine's Card class and thought it worked perfect on this layout!)
Have you used any Authentique papers lately? Do you have a favorite collection?
I have not used Authentique lates though I have some older papers in my stash. I absolutely love the layout with the hearts!!

I don't think the gray paper is necessarily masculine, but vintage. And the patterns and symmetry of the page lean a little toward Art Deco, if you ask me. It is a wonderful page of wonderful people!
