After completing several layouts at my friend Amy's crop earlier this month, I decided to use some of the miscellaneous supplies I had with me to create starting points. Do you remember Shimelle's starting points? The idea is to create the background (or starting point) of a layout before choosing the story or photos for the completed layout. I used the first three ideas (here, here and here) that came up when I searched Shimelle's blog for starting points.
Here's a closer look at each one.
I'm hoping to find time this week to turn these starting points into completed layouts!

or quilts. you could turn them into quilts!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of starting points and these are lovely lively starts
ReplyDeleteHa! They do look like quilts! But they'll make very nice pages
ReplyDeleteI really like the red pieces! And they would all make lovely mini-quilts!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow one. Your post reminds me that I have an album of pre-made pages from my scrapbooking biz days that I need to review again. I really want to start using them up!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you create with these - they look lovely and bright.
ReplyDeleteThat's a blast from the past, I used to like those ideas
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. I like the colours in the first layout. I have a post just waiting to be shared about creating layouts before.
ReplyDeleteI like the looks of these a lot! I was never very good at using premade pages, but I know your's will be great!
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty. I do remember Shimelle's starting points and just a couple of months ago, I used up some scraps and made two bases for layouts. Alas, I still have not gone back to either one to complete them. Thanks for the nudge to pull those back out.
ReplyDeleteI used to love Shimelle's starting points. Can't wait to see how your pages turn out. I may do some of these next time I scrap!
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy Shimelle's starting points, such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI really like your starting points---especially the bright, cheery colors!
ReplyDeleteI love premade layouts!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to a play day on Tuesday. Maybe I'll make some.
