I didn't get a chance to join in with the INSPIRATION Party on Shimelle's blog this past weekend, but I'm determined to scrap some photos and stories this month and jumped in today with a layout based on the first INSPIRATION of the weekend (a sketch from 2011).
I chose a recent photo of me and my dear friend Rita when we met up for a day in Canton, Texas, last month.
I followed the sketch fairly closely and especially enjoyed adding the diagonal sprinkling of bits & pieces.
I created a coordinating 4x6 card for my journaling.
The journaling card will go in a divided page protector, along with six photos that I still need to have printed. The first two are 6x4 photos from the Canton Plaza Museum, a one room museum that houses a 1938 fire engine along with several other local artifacts and the largest collection of bells I've ever seen.
The next three photos, which I'll print as 4x4s, were taken as we meandered around a couple of local antique malls.
The final 6x4 photo is actually a collage of our lunch at Buttermilk's, a new-to-me restaurant that I'll definitely be visiting again.
Did you join in with the INSPIRATION Party?
No I didn't get a chance to join in either.
ReplyDeleteWow, that fire engine is amazing! I'm not surprised that you wanted to record it just as soon as you could
Love those wicker baskets! Looks like a fun place to share some time with a friend.
