Today I'm marking another item DONE on my 50 Things To Do Before I'm 50 List - #30 Keep a daily diary/gratitude journal for one year. Each day of 2016, I recorded something I was grateful for in my Gratitude Journal.
I had hoped to complete the additional pages in the journal at the end
of each month, however I occasionally had to complete several months at one time. I've shared the first eight months' pages in previous posts (January, February, March, April/May/June, July, August). This past weekend I completed the pages for the final four months of the year.
I added some collage elements, including the front of one of our anniversary cards this year, to the final page and inside back cover to complete this project.
I truly enjoyed the daily recording process as well as putting together the additional pages in this album each month. It was so much FUN recording all these little bits & pieces of our lives, and I'm excited to have another items checked off my list!
Well done you - it takes real commitment to follow through on a project. And you'll always have something special and lovely to look back on ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely project and something to make you smile when you flock back through
ReplyDeleteI was inspired every time you posted pages from this journal. I started a new one on December 1, and have been very faithful with it.
ReplyDeleteThose packed pages really do tell the story of how much fun you can squeeze into a day.
ReplyDeleteI write my daily gratitude, making & taking photos for a scrapbook for all 365 days is quite the undertaking - well done you!
ReplyDeleteThis is a huge accomplishment, and what a great way to use that Heidi Swapp memory planner from Play! Am I right?? 👍🏻
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely project, I've enjoyed seeing it come together. It is always so satisfying when you finish a year long project isn't it? I like how you've used the bits and pieces from your daily life.
ReplyDeleteSeeing this (there I am again!) really makes me miss this journal! I loved it when I used it and if I ever found another one, would probably buy it again. It was really just the right size to document my year! Love that you remained faithful to the every day part of the project.
ReplyDeleteI am not "in" to journals. But I have to admit, seeing yours certainly tempts me! Your books is fabulous! I love the "collage-y" look of it---reminds me of my teen years when I'd clip things from the teen magazine and glue them in a book---my early attempt at scrapbooking!
