We've just returned from a nine-day road trip, so I didn't expect to have any happy mail to share this week. [All of last week's mail, which was on hold at the post office, should be delivered later today.] However, we discovered an unexpected package on the porch when we arrived home late Saturday evening. The package was from Amazon and had been delivered by UPS.
I was surprised and extremely pleased to find a gift from our friend Billy, who had recently scrolled through my
50 Things To Do Before I'm 50 list!
Obviously, now I have no excuse for not getting started on the nineteenth item on my list!

Ah, so you don't have the back-from-a-trip experience we have: we open out front door and push hard, because all the backed up mail has come through our letterbox while we've been away and is piled up behind the door.

Yes, that is a nice surprise. Now you'll need to purposely set aside the time to spend with your new book. That shouldn't be too hard for you---the way you fly through books!!
