A big Howdy from Texas to all of you joining us on the Celebrating Blog Friendships Blog Hop Party! I've been blogging for nine months and truly appreciate and enjoy the friendships I've made with other bloggers.
One of my favorite things about blogs (along with new friendships) is the inspiration they provide. I enjoy seeing what others are creating and often scraplift ideas for my own projects. To celebrate, I have a prize pack of scrapping goodness to give away. To be eligible for the prize, leave a comment below telling me where you find the most inspiration for scrapbooking layouts. Comments received by noon (CST) on Monday, November 8, will be eligible for the prize.
If you are collecting letters for the prize, the letter for my blog is : "E"
Your next stop is Xnomad's blog. If you arrived here by chance and would like to start by reading about this party, visit Lizzie's blog first.
Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a packet of scrapping goodness! Please check back Monday afternoon to see if you're the lucky winner.
A Blogging Friendship Blog Hop Party - what a great idea! :)
ReplyDeleteI actually find most of my inspiration for scrapbook layouts from music. Song lyrics often become a part of my journaling and sometimes I steal a really great song title for my page title. And, of course, there's lots of great inspiration on blogs too. I love seeing other people's layouts.
Hmmm, my biggest inspiration is the photo itself & the story behind it ... I take from them cliches, colours & images of what I want to include.
ReplyDeletei love the colours in the photo and a phrase which seems to describe the story behind it
ReplyDeleteJo xxxx
I find the most inspiration for my layouts in magazines like Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks Etc, and Scrapbook Trends. xo! :)
ReplyDeleteOutside of the actual photo inspiring the colours and sometimes (though not always) the story, I'm inspired by the many blogs I visit, and Ella, of course ;) Great to get to know you, Melissa!
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by the story a photo can evoke - for me it is usually many stories. Great to meet you Melissa :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, it's so nice meeting even more people on this blog hop. Hope to stop by again soon :)
ReplyDeleteBlogs! I'm definitely inspired by blogs! It's been a pleasure starting to get to know you recently Melissa and I hope to keep coming on back for many many more posts to come x
ReplyDeleteOooh good question! I think I am inspired by other peoples blogs but also the photograph and the memories xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Melissa ~ and it's nice to meet you. I find inspiration from a few very talented blog friends. That's just one of the many reasons I love blogging so much! Enjoy your hop!
ReplyDeleteHello Melissa, I'm glad to meet you! Another person I have met on our blog hop!
ReplyDeleteI agree that blogging does provide me with loads of inspiration - everyone has a different way of doing things, different ideas and a different way to present their projects. I wouldn't have learned so many things, had I not found them through the various blogs I visit.
So glad you joined our Party - thanks for your great post!
I love looking at people's blogs for inspiration! And I enjoy scrapbook.com, their gallery is great :)
ReplyDeleteGayle xx
my biggest inspiration is from blogs, shimelles's forum and 2peas gallery!
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Melissa :-) Me, I find most of my inspiration on blogs, too - I get inspired by all kinds of things, but the layouts I see on other people's blogs are definitely the biggest single creative input! x
ReplyDeleteI find most of my inspiration from blogs, from other crafter's blogs, but also a few sketch or challenge sites like The Paper Variety, Sketchy Thursdays, or The Studio Challenges. I just love reading blogs! x
ReplyDeleteI get my inspiration from everywhere, books, clothes, food, being outside, my two cats, adverts, tv, and of course all the lovely blogs I have discovered, and new ones discovered on this great blog hop
ReplyDeleteHi! Glad to have hopped by today. I love your background on your blog... it's so pretty! I'll be hopping back, I'm sure. :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you about the inspiration, it is a wonderful thing :)
ReplyDeleteI love your background! I get my inspiration from sketches either at Sassy Sketches or random sites.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the inspiration. My google reader provides me tons of inspiration, sometimes too much LOL I am often inspired by the challenges blogs - they always push me to try something different.
ReplyDeleteI always find inspiration from my google reader (I follw a ton!) and studio calico's gallery...their design team and members! (www.studiocalico.com)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is lovely, glad I stopped by!
I constantly find all sorts of inspiration from blogs....but for scrapping I love Cosmo Cricket's blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty blog; just popping in to say Hi from he blog party! I get a lot of inspiration from classes and what class mates post, blogs, magazines, gosh everywhere!
ReplyDeleteOh now that's a good question - right now I'm struggling with inspiration overload - blogs, kit club sites, sketch sites. But if I'm honest it is probably in online scrapbooking classes - where I have to focus and actually act on that inspiration. Still I won't be giving up too much of my web surfing - one can't be practical all the time, can one?
ReplyDeleteI am totally inspired by the blogs I read, the time of year and by entering challenges - specifically LOAD. I have so much inspiration, I agree with S that I am almost at the point of inspiration overload!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've visited your blog & i'm so glad I found it.
ReplyDeleteI find inspiration in lots of places - alot of the time i'll pick a favourite pretty paper and start from there. I definitely get lots of inspiration from all the bloggers out there, whether they're scrapbookers or not :)

ReplyDeleteAt the moment I'm really taking inspiration from old photos that I took maybe ten years ago when I was young. The photos have been sparking old memories which I then feel inspired to scrap!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog!
Lovely post :) I find most of my inspiration from magazines and also blogs. The person who seems to inspire me most though is Anna Bowkis - just love her work.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I get most of my inspiration from looking at other people's layouts in magazines and on blogs. From there I make a sketch and create!
