We went to McKinney Trade Days for a couple of hours this morning even though it was only 46 degrees out! Received a nice gift from Mom in the mail - soup kit & bowls and a tin of chocolate covered cherries. We spent several house getting ready for the family get-together here tomorrow. I went through the house, first with the feather duster, then with the vacuum while Robbie scrubbed and swept both bathrooms. I put the icing on the cake and made the dirt pudding. Then Robbie cut up vegetables and the pineapple while I washed grapes and peeled oranges for the fruit and vegetable trays. We enjoyed one of Robbie's favorite Christmas movies this evening - A Christmas Story

There is something extra satisfying about making the house shine at Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYou've been quite the busy lady! So glad you and Robbie are taking the time to really enjoy the holiday and the time together - you are right that it could be a long time before you have this much "free" time together again!
ReplyDeleteOoh the chocolate cherries look yummy :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun, busy day! We love A Christmas Story!
