December 2

Mama & Daddy came out and rode with us up to Denison to see the Annual Grayson County Holiday Lights at Loy Lake Park, then back home for dinner (roast that I had cooking in the crock pot all day) and a couple of games of dominoes. The lights were great and the visit was filled with laughter. We got all our Christmas cards ready to mail, just need to stamp the envelopes and write a letter to go with one.

I've noticed in the blogs I've been reading that Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas topic for December 2 was the weather, so I thought I'd share a snapshot of our weather here - sunshine, 60 degrees Fahrenheit, slight breeze = beautiful!

CREATIVE TIME
Created a layout based on Creative Scrappers Sketch #132 by Trina McClune. I really like this sketch because it can be used for up to 8 or 9 photos. I chose to use 7 on this layout.

I decided to take the December Challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous to use lots of rub-ons but no patterned paper on this layout. I pulled out these packages of older rub-ons to begin.

The title letters on this layout are stickers, but all the other words and pictures are rub-ons. I used the rub-ons to create a patterned paper look for the two extra squares. (I don't like the way the word "laughter" is so close to the title, but I didn't really notice it until everything was adhered. It still preserves our memory, which is the main thing, right?)

Today's Christmas Decoration Feature - Bunny Outfits
I have four bunnies that my Mama made quite a few years ago. I use these bunnies for home decor items when there are no kids visiting, otherwise they are fun stuffed toys! Throughout the year, they each have an outift to match where they sit in the house - sunflowers for the front room, Dallas Cowboys for the blue & pink guest room, green for the exercise/TV room. However, this  month they are wearing their Christmas outfits, all of which Mama also made.

I love all the Christmas material Mama used for these outfits.

(BTW - I'll be back later today with my Weekly Healthy Living Post. I'm off now to get in my exercise for the day.)
