March/April 2011 CK Magazine Inspiration

While I was riding the exercise bike last Friday, I flipped through the March/April 2011 Creating Keepsakes magazine and pulled out several layouts to add to my inspiration pile. I jotted down a quick note on each one with the photos I had in mind to use on a layout of my own.

I already had these birthday photos in mind because of the LOM Community 5/2/11 Weekly Challenge to flip through our storage binders and find birthday photos to scrap. I like that I was able to use up 16 eyelets from my stash to complete the tied together look.

I had a vague idea for this next layout based on the Change layout from the CK magazine, but I couldn't quite work it out until I received Claudine Hellmuth's challenge during BPC's Creative Crop on Saturday. The challenge was to create a layout or project using text. Claudine's example used one word to change the focus of a photo, and I immediately knew that the focus I wanted for this layout was that it was TIME for me to start teaching again. This is one of my favorite layouts from this past weekend because all the bits and pieces seem to work so well together.

Watch for more layouts tomorrow and then a Guest Blogger on Thursday!
