It seems Christmastime is everyone's favorite time of year to bake cookies, and I am no exception. Although I enjoy baking year round, it seems during the holidays there are so many opportunities to share goodies with others, whether it's taking a treat to an event or giving a special gift or having friends and family over to celebrate.
I've rarely ever met a cookie I didn't like, however there is one ingredient that makes any cookie perfect (in my opinion, of course) - CHOCOLATE CHIPS. So it follow that many of my favorite recipes contain chocolate chips, like this twist on the traditional oatmeal-raisin cookie. It's just amazing how switching the raisins for chocolate chips improves the taste! :>)
Here's a look at the recipe card I scrapped several years ago when I added this recipe to my Desserts Album.
