A couple of weeks ago,
Ellyn posted
photos & directions for making candy sleighs on her blog. Last week I needed some last minute gifts and decided to borrow the idea. It took less than an hour to put together 10 of these cute yummy treats (not counting the time it took for Robbie to go to the store for the supplies, of course).
It was truly my lucky day because Ellyn's daughter was staying with us for a few days, so I had an experienced helper!
We even made an eleventh sleigh with a few modifications due to the fact that one (or two or three) candies disappeared during the construction process! This sleigh has one less layer, however it has one extra Hershey's kiss (which Ally said looked like Santa Claus driving the sleigh).
Anyone else have to put together a few last minute gifts? Did they include chocolate?
Oh, how cute! Love these :) I'm all set (I hope.... Unless I've forgotten anything or anyone!!) but I shall bookmark this for next year and see what English supplies I can adapt :)
ReplyDeleteThese are super cute! I think all last minute gifts should include chocolate! :) Hope you guys have a fabulous Christmas!

I managed to get 15 handmade gifts made this weekend, but I can't post them until after the holidays since some of my friends do read my blog. Five of the gifts won't be distributed until the week after Christmas when a group of us celebrate the holiday by having lunch together. No, they don't include chocolate, but yours look yummy!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. I've printed your post to keep for next year
ReplyDeleteIt is the first time I see "candy" sleighs! What a great way to spruce up a simple gift!!!!
