June Pass the Book - Art Journaling

This month's book for Pass the Book:Year Two is actually sold in the magazine section, but if you've ever seen any of Somerset Studio's quarterly publications you'll know that they are filled with inspiration. I picked up the Winter 2011 edition of Art Journaling at the beginning of this year and have really enjoyed the eclectic examples of art journal pages from numerous artists.

If you'd like a chance to be the first recipient of Art Journaling, please leave a comment telling me whether or not you've ever purchased one of Somerset Studio's publications. I'll choose a winner on Monday and get this book on its way.

Remember to check out the Pass the Book:Year Two page for all the details and to see which other books are ready to be passed.

  1. I have never bought one but have leafed through them at the bookstore, they seem so beyond me but I didn't realize they had one for art journaling, that might prove inspirational :)

  2. I love everything about the Somerset Publications except the price! I have purchased a total of 4 - 2 issues of Somerset Studio, one Somerset Apprentice, and one Somerset Life. They are so full of inspiration on every page! Of course I'd love a shot at the art journal version!

  3. This looks fascinating, Melissa....these magazines are way expensive in the UK...they cost more than most books!! Would love to see it.

  4. That looks a very inspiring book ... but Art Journalling isn't really my thing - I look forward to seeing what other people do with it though :o)

  7. Oh that's a Stampington & Co. publication, isn't it? Great choice, Melissa. I picked up one of their Stampers Samplers and it is full of beautiful artwork too. The work they showcase is certainly something you have set up sights upward to achieve. Whoever is the next in line will enjoy perusing those pages. But I dare not venture into the world of art journaling, I have enough challenges with layouts.

  8. I do love Somerset Publications, the last one I bought was the Mixed Media one. They are very expensive so I see them as a splurge :) I think this is a great choice for the Pass The Book 2 (I have 2 sitting with me now, but would luv to have this one too!! :)
