A Photo for Storytelling Sunday

It's the first Sunday of November and that means we're all linking up for Storytelling Sunday over at Sian's blog and sharing a story in words or photos. Today I simply have a photo for you to contemplate - Robbie snapped this on his lunch hour a couple of years ago, on an overcast March afternoon here in Texas.

What's the story here?

  3. In Texas? Surely not! :) Well unless it is another Texan 'it's always bigger etc.' tale :)

  4. OK, as a Brit I'm much more accustomed to working in degrees C, but even I quickly spotted that there's something not quite right here...

  5. I love a picture to get my imagination racing! I've got to admit that I'm pretty taken by the idea of alien code..but, mmm, I'm wondering what other entertaining answer I can come up with. I Love it Melissa..and the thought that Robbie stopped to take a picture

  6. There isn't anywhere in the continental U.S. where it gets that cold... but especially not Texas! Did someone think it was April Fool's Day???

  7. Goodness! the Mercury needle must have stuck inside their walk-in refrigerator. Very intriguing Melissa.

  12. I am surprised he wasn't frozen solid! I bet that sign brought alot of laughs. I wonder if they did it deliberately ... it wasn't April Fools by any chance?

  13. Given the normal temperatures in Texas an overcast day probably *feels* that cold!

  14. A perfect photo to give a creative writing class, I think!
