Prompt Four in the Scrapbook Remix class was really about using floral papers, however I simply lifted the design of one of Shimelle's layouts to create this page for the beginning of our 2011 album.
I am definitely enjoying combining lots of patterned papers (& a little washi tape, too, of course).
The combination of reds and patterns makes the snowy scene seem so much warmer :). A lovely opening page ...
ReplyDeleteI probably wouldn't have chosen these colours for a snowy scene....but they actually work perfectly.
ReplyDeleteLovely snowy pics - and as the others have said, the bright colours really 'lift' the page :)
ReplyDeleteLove the patterns! I'm glad I ended up taking the class. I've been getting a lot of inspiration too! :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous Page I have pinned it!
ReplyDeleteI like your patterned paper combinations. In also looks like the holiday season without actually having it written on the page.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that??? Snow in Texas? Love you all bundled up for the weather - looks like you came right out of a Dickens novel.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see the snow with the tartan plus bundled up photos :)
ReplyDeleteLove your mix of papers Melissa!
