#6 - Someone or something taking a nap
As we toured Rock City in Chattanooga, we found little boy blue sleeping in the Mother Goose Village. The exhibits here were actually in a dark cavern and had a neon glow to them, however the flash was needed to capture the photos, which resulted in more natural colors.
#11 Animal in a zoo, aquarium, nature preserve, etc
Robbie spotted this tree snail on our hike to see Cataract Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
#17 Candle(s)
On either side of the window in the dining room at Graceland, we discovered candles in beautiful candelabras. Can you see them there in the background?
The Dixie Stampede show was full of people in outfits representing the USA. Unfortunately, no photos were allowed during the show itself. I snapped this photo with my cell phone (at a pretty good distance in terrible lighting) as we were exiting the arena.
I have four more items (plus one more bonus) to go to complete this summer's scavenger hunt. How are you doing on the hunt?
Great job - your snail gives me a good idea for what to use for that prompt!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Rinda
I like that little Boy Blue - an unusual find - and of course the peep inside Graceland. Great!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Sian - little boy blue is definitely a unique take on the napping prompt!
ReplyDeleteAhhh I remember the dark caverns of Rock city, when we were there (years ago) it was dinosaurs all aglow :)
ReplyDeleteThe snail is a good find! Loving the Stampede photo, too! :) I still got several items to find, but will hopefully manage, now that I found a windmill on the map (hopefully go to see it next week).
ReplyDeleteYour photos for this challenge are so unique! I love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat snail photo and love Little Boy Blue. I have about 3 more items to get - hoping to go out over this weekend to get them :-)
