May FUN Check-In & June Plans

May was an extremely FUN month! We started the month off with a trip to Pennsylvania where we spent a day with Cheri, then we met up with Robbie's brother, sister-in-law & nephews for three days of FUN including attending the Philly Non-Sport Trading Card show. I hosted a Mother's Day Crop here at the house and enjoyed several hours of scrapbooking with Mama & my friend Michelle. I actually did quite a bit of scrapbooking throughout the month and have been especially inspired by the Sketch Solutions workshop. I spent two days watching Lain Ehmann's Scrapbook Your Story on Creative Live. I attended the library book club and enjoyed getting together with friends for Ellyn's Crafty Tuesday.

Once again Robbie and I were focused on healthy eating and exercise. We took quite a few walks, and I continued to meet with the personal trainer. We completed another collage puzzle, spent several hours one Saturday strolling through antique shops in a nearby town, played a FUN game of Chicken Foot with Mama & Daddy (which I won!!), and watched a bunch of episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man.

We also saw four movies in May:
1. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Great movie, although I didn't realize it was going to have a sad ending. We saw this movie in 3-D, in an almost empty theatre, in Pennsylvania, with our nephews (& their parents) - so much FUN!
2. Heaven Is For Real - Great movie, although not as good as the book.
3. Godzilla - Great movie! I wasn't sure what to expect from this one, but it was so well done - we both thoroughly enjoyed it!
4. X-Men: Days of Future Past - Great movie, however when it first started I had no idea what was going on! There's a huge battle raging and I didn't really know who everyone was, but that is all eventually clear and the story is great. There's a wonderfully FUN scene where a very young Quicksilver rearranges everything and causes a tumult that allows Wolverine and Professor Xavier to complete their breakout of Magneto (from deep underneath the Pentagon)!

Here's a look at my FUN May photo collage.

My FUN plans for June include:
1. Participating in Rinda's Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt for the third year.
2. Online classes - One Little Word, Inspired Scrapbooking, Sketch Solutions.
3. Seeing a movie or two, playing games, taking walks & putting together puzzles with Robbie.
4. Attending the library book club meeting and a high school graduation party for a sweet teenage friend
5. Watching a Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians baseball game at Rangers Ballpark.

Did you have a FUN May? What FUN things are you planning for June?

  1. It was busy for you, and sounds like the fun was nearly non-stop. I'm enjoying scrapping with sketches right now too - it must be a summer thing.

  2. Another busy but fun month. You have a great collection of photos to show for it!

  3. Love you May collage! - maybe because I feature so prominently in it?

June sounds like FUN too - although teaching computer skills to preschoolers??? Seriously, don't they come out of the womb knowing how to keyboard these days? I've seen 2 years olds that can navigate an iPhone better than I can!

  4. I think your new job certainly sounds like fun. I bet you'll gather a few good stories from those pre schoolers

  5. I hope to take a few movies. Thanks for the recommendations. The FUN will start for us once school is over for the kids . . . can't wait!
And I'm expecting a really FUN longhorn from you in the Scavenger Hunt this year.

  6. You and Robbie really know how to have fun! Good for you! Love the photos!

  7. Also saw Xmen movie and loved it. Joining in with scavenger hunt and summer of colour too.

  8. Looks like you had a FUN May! Hope you enjoy June :). I am really looking forward to the Harry Potter Studio Tour as my birthday treat, a works summer party, visiting with my parents, Ben coming home for the weekend and meeting his new girlfriend and my birthday!

  9. I always love your monthly collages. We did indeed have some fun in May. In June, I'll be traveling to Detroit with church friends to attend the first few days of the Presbyterian Church USA's General Assembly. It will be a first for me, and I'm looking forward to it.

  10. You're loving life and really getting the most out of it. What a busy and FUN month you had

Thanks so much for your comment - it's like a ray of sunshine in my day!
