One Little Word - October, November & December

Once again, I had gotten a few months behind in Ali Edward's One Little Word class, so this weekend I took time to review all the remaining class materials. Then I flipped back through my FUN notebook, reviewing the FUN intentions I wrote out in January and the FUN action items I set in February. I printed the last few months' FUN photo collages and slipped them into place and completed the past three month's reflections cards.

I decided not to include the October and November prompts - one was a painted background topped with a letter to  myself and the other was another photo prompt. However, I did complete the Facts & Feelings Worksheet Ali provided as a wrap-up for the December prompt. (You can click on the page for a larger version if you'd like to read my journaling.)

I have to admit that I've definitely had lots of FUN with my very first word! As the year comes to a close, I know that this word will continue to be a part of my life and that I will be more aware of the FUN in every day now that I've spent a year focusing on and acknowledging the FUN in our life.

I'm definitely going to choose a word for next year. In fact, I've already been contemplating possible words and what I'd like to be more aware of in 2015. Of course, I'll be sharing that journey with y'all here on my blog! Which brings me to a huge THANK YOU to those of you who have followed along with my FUN journey this year. Your encouraging comments and how you've enjoyed my posts and photo collages have made this journey all the more FUN!

I'll be wrapping up  my FUN year with one more post at the end of December, sharing my final reflections card and last monthly photo collage as well as some additional thoughts on the difference this word has made in my life in 2014. How will you be wrapping up your word this year? Are you ready to let it go and announce a new word for 2015?

  1. Lovely post, I love this idea of recording all of the day to day fun as a project on its own :)

  2. I've enjoyed your FUN journey so thank you for sharing it. I'm choosing a word and have just signed up for the OLW class next year. Finishing off the prompts is on my list to do whilst on holiday/vacation!

  4. You have done one of the best jobs at focusing on your OLW for the year of anyone!! I did it myself a few years ago---for a couple years and enjoyed it. I'm not sure whether I'll do it again this year or not. Life just seems to get busier and busier! Hmmm...I guess that could be my word!

  5. It has been a privilege to be allowed to see how your word has shown up in your life, Melissa, and how you've gone looking for it and kept it at the forefront of your mind - very inspiring! I have not found myself very inspired by the prompts in the OLW class this year, and admire how you've stuck with them. But my word has been very important and yes, I must do a wrap up, and yes, I have indeed got a word emerging for next year!

  6. I'll also do a year end wrap up of my word and definitely plan to choose a word for 2015. In fact, I've already picked it! Will reveal it next week.
