Memorandum Monday - Pocket Pages

This weekend I created some pocket page layouts for the first time this year. I was working through my 2015 digital workflow and found several miscellaneous photos from April (yes, I'm that far behind processing photos) that I wanted to include in our chronological album. I added those photos and a couple of pocket journaling cards to the front and back of a page protector.

My favorite pocket is the one that holds this FUN pocket card and chocolate tag that I received from one of my scrappy friends after teaching a mixed media canvas class at Scrappin' Goodtime last year.

I used a different page protector to showcase photos of the Firefighter Scrapbook-for-Hire project I completed last spring.

The back of that pocket page is filled with a variety of FUN photos from May.

After I printed and inserted the photos, I discovered four NEW packages of cork board embellishments that worked perfect for adding a title and journaling.

I really like the way the cork board brings this page together.

Joining in today with Sian's Memorandum Monday meme sharing something NEW (something you did over the weekend FOR THE FIRST TIME or something you learned and DIDN'T KNOW BEFORE).

  1. I spent yesterday afternoon sorting my photos and plan to do the same as you. They are all in the albums for when I have time to do it.

  2. It's always a good feeling to tackle a backlog, especially when you find something new - I love the sentiment on that chocolate tag too. The cork looks great; a bit like Kraft paper for giving a unified effect.

  3. I love the cork. It looks great. And how satisfying to have pulled all these pages together.

    Wishing you a great week

  4. Your pages are so lovely & have such a flow to them. Your F/F Scrapbook is quite cool (pun intended). When I first read you were scrapping photos from April & thought you were behind I thought WHAT? Then I re-read & saw the 2015 (lol). I like to believe that as scrapbookers we are never behind, just in a creative energy flow shortage, temporary of course. Happy week ahead

  5. Your backlog is encouraging, actually, to those of us who are way behind as well. Now that I have another big batch of photos to process from this most recent trip, it seems more overwhelming that ever. I am, however, home now for the longest stretch in over a year, so hope to get organized and productive very soon! Love your pages, and I've always been a fan of cork!

  6. I like the way you've used the cork and that tag made me smile as I'd just decided to finish these blogs and grab some chocolate before sitting on the couch to read :)

  7. It's been a while since I did any scrapping, your pages make me want to do some project life this week

Thanks so much for your comment - it's like a ray of sunshine in my day!
