Mixed Media Collage | Planner Dividers

This year I'm using a Plum Paper Planner that has a monthly calendar as well as weekly planner pages. The tabbed monthly dividers are colorful but blank, so I'm using that space to create a fun themed collage.

January's collage focused on the beginning of a new year and a healthy lifestyle.

February's love theme is grounded by a large heart and mini colorful hearts floating down the page.

The March collage showcases lots of nature scenes, with a few city buildings along the bottom, as a focus on our goal to complete a 10K walk in a nearby city at the end of the month.

These collages incorporate images and words cut from magazines, phrases from a Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker book, washi tape, and various bits & pieces from my scrapbooking stash.

What type of planner/calendar are you using this year? Have you added any creative elements to it?

  1. These look like they were fun to put together. I have a planner with a pretty cover and a matching bookmark, that I don't really use to full advantage. I still find myself jotting to-dos down on scraps of paper, and putting appointments (which are few and far between) on my phone calendar. I seem to be un-trainable in the use of a planner!

  2. I'm using the same calendar and journal I've used for the last few years. This year both have black covers and could use some of your creativity applied to them. I'm back to sketching regularly so I'm unlikely to tackle the planner.

  3. This year's planner for me was one I had in the stash from many years ago & since not a lot was going to be going on, I decided to use. It's a Simple Stories weekly planner. It did not come with a full month page, so I found one online, printed & glued to the monthly divider page. It's not one I would ever use again, but it good to use up. Hopefully life will renew fully for 2022, so I think I'll start shopping for a fun one in late August.

  4. You make me miss my planners! Years ago, they were my life---really---everything all in one place. I love your creativity with each monthly page--sort of like an art journal. Can't wait to see your future pages.

  5. Those pages are very cheering and bright - they must set a great tome for the month. Hoping you make that walk! I've started using a Heidi Swapp planner for weekly memory keeping and am really enjoying it.
