Scrapbooking | Older Family Photos

I recently came across a couple of photos in old frames that had seen better days. I decided to recycle the worn frames and add these older photos to Robbie's Family scrapbook.

This first layout showcases a photo of Robbie's Dad when he was only 7-months-old. I used the original 1938 photo on this page, however, I scanned it first to add to our digital photos catalog.

Robbie remembers the day this next photo was taken when he was just 5-years-old. His dad had bought him a new tricycle at the Western Auto Store. On the way home, he let Robbie off down the road from his grandparent's house. Robbie remembers riding that tricycle to Grandy and Pawpaw's house, where this photo of him and his PawPaw was taken.

I'm excited to have these photos preserved on layouts! Have you scrapped any older photos lately?

  1. Those are both great photos! I have scrapped a few older photos, but not many. I ought to pull out that album and take a look at it again. Tracy spends many hours on genealogy and is methodically scanning hundreds of photos from both his side of the family and mine.

  2. Wonderful layouts - a tribute to heritage. I haven't done any heritage pages in quite some time, although I am waiting on a time when I can meet up with one of my sisters to receive a package of photos she found, that are of my Mother & her family.

  3. What fabulous photos and so great to now have them in an album! I have all the wedding photo proofs from my parents' wedding - I should probably do something with them, I suppose.

  4. You've scrapped these so sympathetically, in a style which is so appropriate ... How lovely to have these stories and photos preserved! We have photos from when our children were small in pre-digital times, which we really ought to scan.
